Round Two: Your Favorite Kickass Literary Ladies

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the #LitLush chat to talk about strong female heroines and all around literary badass chicks!

We thought it would be fun to put together a little round of voting to decide who are Literary Lushes (that’s YOU guys) think is the most badass chick of them all! We took all of your suggestions from the #LitLush chat on 9/5/13 and put them together for you to decide who is the ultimate female heroine and the embodiment of strength!

You guys already voted for the first round and now we’re on to round two! Because of ties, I took the top twelve ladies. On to the next round of voting!

Who’s the most badass of them all?

We could go on and on about how much we love these literary ladies, but let’s get right to the voting! Head on down and pick your ultimate kickass leading lady and we’ll carry the ones with the most votes to the next round!

Dear Post Office: Why Do You Hate Me?

Hi, friends! Brittany here. I just wanted to throw a quick post up to let you know about some post office issues I’ve been having…

Currently, a few tours have been sabotaged (not intentionally, I’m sure haha) by the post office. For one tour, I have tracking to a town away from me and then… nothing. For another, I have nothing past the initial tracking even though I brought it to the post office. We have another that says it was delivered and the recipient never got it. It’s incredibly frustrating and I’m currently talking with the PO to try to hunt these books down but so far, it’s not looking pretty.

Firstly, I just wanted the people on that tour to be aware that I’m trying as best as I can to get these books back on track but there is a delay right now (and hopefully not a permanent delay). The tours currently affected are:

  • JUST LIKE FATE (has not been tracked local area)
  • AWAKEN (noticed says delivered; recipient has not seen it)
  • PROJECTION (no tracking past initial scan)

This may be a local issue since it seems to be mostly my books that are having problems and not Alyssa’s. I’m going to try to switch things up and send them Priority Mail instead of just media mail. Hopefully more care will be taken with Priority packages and it’s worth the extra couple dollars for me to get the books safely out. This is just a me-thing… I won’t ask anyone on the tours to shell out the extra cash to send priority, especially since most of the issues seem to be coming from my local post offices! All we ask of tour participants is to write those addresses clearly and make sure it has some kind of tracking! Hopefully switching to Priority on my end will help solve a few issues.

If you ever have questions about where a book is, if you’re coming up on the tour, or if you need tracking for a book, please feel free to contact us at litlushes(at)gmail(dot)com or check out the lovely MASTER SHEET I’ve created to help keep you in the know.

Thank you SO much for your patience with these issues! Again, if you have questions, please feel free to contact us at any time! Either Alyssa or I will get back to you as soon as we can. Thank you for supporting Literary Lushes! We love you guys!!!
