#LitLush chat recap 7/25: Books You Feel Everyone Else Has Read… Except You

Last night was a fantastic #LitLush chat where we talked about “Books You Feel LIke Everyone Has Read…… Except You” and boy. We had a LOT to talk about!

We talked about a LOT of books! From John Green to Sarah Dessen. From Shadow and Bone to Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Shatter Me, Anna and the French Kiss, My Life Next Door.

We talked about Jellicoe Road, Harry Potter, Howl’s Moving Castle, In the Shadow of Blackbirds, Unearthly, and soooo so many more!

Instead of rehashing the whole chat, we decided it might be nice to make a list of the books that a lot of the #LitLush chatters still wanted to read and form a sort of reading support group/mini-book club! We’re listing the books below that we talked about on Thursday and if you leave a comment below, we’ll keep an updated list to help you find a reading buddy! Of course this will be super casual, no read along rules or anything — Just friends reading books together!

Want a reading buddy? Let us know if you want to start a mini book club for any of the books below and we’ll match you with some friends! Please leave your Twitter handle so your buddies can contact you! 🙂

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Unearthly by Cynthia Hand
Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
Sarah Dessen books, TBD
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Neil Gaiman books, TBD
For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
Delirium by Lauren Oliver

We can always add more so let us know if there’s anything else you want to buddy-read or pick any book from this list! We’ll put your name down (don’t worry, it’s low pressure) and we can match you up with a reading buddy! We hope this is a fun way to read those high-pressure books! Hope you find a great reading partner!
